Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (San Jose, CA)

Lumen Meridian Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across San Jose, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 43 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in client sites and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on field inspections. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
