Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (San Jose, CA)

Lumen Lantern Property Management is a San Jose property manager with leasing, maintenance and resident services. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 39 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in vendor invoices and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on resident events. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
