Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (San Jose, CA)

Silverline Kestrel Manufacturing is a San Jose manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in machine downtime and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on customer orders. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
