Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (San Jose, CA)

Greenridge Nest Markets Group operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around San Jose. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in supplier deliveries and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on pricing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
