Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (San Jose, CA)

Cedar Ember Financial is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for loan applications, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in loan applications and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on customer onboarding. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
