Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (San Diego, CA)

Foxglove Stone Freight is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 666 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in loads and lanes and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on carrier rates. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
