Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (San Diego, CA)

Amberfield Maple Staffing is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for timekeeping, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in timekeeping and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on candidate screening. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
