Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Salt Lake City, UT)

We are growing our team at Lumen Kestrel Financial and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 195 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Investigate trends in loan applications and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on payment disputes. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
