Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Salt Lake City, UT)

Cedar Amber Manufacturing makes precision components in Salt Lake City. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 76 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Investigate trends in machine downtime and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on production lines. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
