Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Sacramento, CA)

Nova Corner Construction is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for safety records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in safety records and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on subcontractor invoices. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
