Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Sacramento, CA)

Westbrook Maple Financial serves customers across Sacramento with accounts, loans and payments. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 160 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on regulatory reports. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Sacramento, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
