Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Sacramento, CA)

Fernwood Thistle Early Learning runs childcare centres in Sacramento caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in tuition and subsidies and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on licensing records. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
