Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Rochester, NY)

Amberfield Juniper Legal Group is a law firm in Rochester serving businesses and individuals. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in billing records and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on court deadlines. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
