Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Rochester, NY)

Greenridge Birch Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Rochester. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in fleet maintenance and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on landfill records. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
