Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Rochester, NY)

Ironwood Glen Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Rochester. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on ridership counts. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
