Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

Silverline Granite Insurance is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for underwriting files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 639 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in underwriting files and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on catastrophe response. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Louisville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
