Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Lantern Construction Group and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be quality and error analysis. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in permits and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on subcontractor invoices. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
