Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Ivory Freight and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be quality and error analysis. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in dock schedules and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on carrier rates. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
