Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

Silverline Birch Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Des Moines. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 78 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in collection routes and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on landfill records. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
