Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

Silverline Rowan Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around Columbus. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in public records and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on permits. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Columbus. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
