Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

Harborlight Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Austin region. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Investigate trends in project schedules and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on subcontractor invoices. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
