Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

Redstone Thistle Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Chicago region. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Investigate trends in subcontractor invoices and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on change orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
