Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

Bright Summit Housing is a nonprofit housing provider in Minneapolis. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 162 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in waiting lists and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on lease compliance. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
