Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

Northwind Sable Manufacturing is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for customer orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in customer orders and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on production lines. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
