Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

Harborlight Vale Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Spokane and nearby communities. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 16 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on meter reading. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Spokane. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
