Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

Silverline Union Civic Services supports public agencies in Sacramento with budgeting, records and programmes, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 25 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in public records and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on budget submissions. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
