Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

Silverline Vale Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Fresno and nearby communities, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 115 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in pipe repairs and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on billing accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Fresno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
