Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

Bright Union Hospitality is a hospitality company in Buffalo with restaurants, rooms and catering, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. We work weekends and holidays and we make it fun. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in food costs and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on supplier orders. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
