Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

We are growing our team at Amberfield West Transit Planning Group and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be quality and error analysis. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in ridership counts and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on survey data. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
