Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

We are growing our team at Northwind Thistle Insurance and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 58 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in policy renewals and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on premium billing. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
