Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Drift Civic Services and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 23 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in budget submissions and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on permits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Cincinnati. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
