Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

Stonegate Granite Manufacturing is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for machine downtime, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on tooling. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
