Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Raleigh, NC)

Bright Oak Arts Center is an arts centre in Raleigh with a full calendar of events, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in event logistics and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on volunteer programmes. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Raleigh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
