Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Providence, RI)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Beacon Financial and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be quality and error analysis. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on account servicing. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
