Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Portland, OR)

Bright Linden Civic Services works with county and city offices around Portland. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in case files and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on public records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
