Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Portland, OR)

Redstone River Markets is a Portland retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Portland. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in shrink and waste and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on store inventory. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Portland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
