Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Oakland, CA)

Lumen Willow Financial Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for account servicing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 53 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in account servicing and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on payment disputes. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
