Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Redstone Glen Freight and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be quality and error analysis. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in dock schedules and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on loads and lanes. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
