Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Oakland, CA)

Summit Junction Auto Group is a Oakland company supplying vehicle parts and service. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. Service hours are steady. What you will do • Investigate trends in supplier deliveries and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on parts orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
