Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Cedar Wren Arts Center and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be quality and error analysis. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in volunteer programmes and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on school partnerships. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
