Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (New Orleans, LA)

Lumen Civic Services supports public agencies in New Orleans with budgeting, records and programmes, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 47 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in procurement and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on budget submissions. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
