Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (New Orleans, LA)

Summit Kestrel Financial Group serves customers across New Orleans with accounts, loans and payments. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in regulatory reports and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on account servicing. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in New Orleans. • We reply to every applicant.
