Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Madison, WI)

Ironwood Cobalt Insurance is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for premium billing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in premium billing and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on customer complaints. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
