Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Knoxville, TN)

Northwind Fern Freight is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for dock schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in dock schedules and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on carrier rates. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
