Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Houston, TX)

Bright Iron Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Houston region, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 100 people based in Houston. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on subcontractor invoices. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Houston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
