Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Fresno, CA)

Cedar Quarry Environmental Services Associates collects and processes waste and recycling around Fresno, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 159 people based in Fresno. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in weigh tickets and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on landfill records. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
