Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Detroit, MI)

Nova Vista Financial Group is a financial-services company in Detroit, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in customer onboarding and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on vendor spend. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
