Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Hollow Freight and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be quality and error analysis. You would join a large organisation of about 777 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Investigate trends in dock schedules and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on carrier rates. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
