Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Des Moines, IA)

Lumen Harbor Environmental Services is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for fleet maintenance, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 359 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in fleet maintenance and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on landfill records. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
