Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Redstone Cedar Civic Services and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be quality and error analysis. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in budget submissions and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on procurement. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
